I'm not sure there is such a thing as a good plate of bangers and mash. If I were the US ambassador, I would go to eat at a nice Indian restaurant in London before meeting up to redeem the bet at a local pub for drinks. Good beer can be found at the pubs there, but for good eats - go elsewhere.
