Thread: Miss Universe 2009 - Miss Venezuela

NASSAU, Bahamas - Miss Venezuela has been named winner of the 2009 Miss Universe pageant in the Bahamas.
Stefania Fernandez was crowned Sunday night. Miss Dominican Republic, Ada Aimee de la Cruz, was the runner up.
Miss China, Wang Jingyao, was named Miss Congeniality and Miss Thailand, Chutima Durongdej, won Miss Photogenic.

Miss South Africa the only African to make top 15.

Miss SA was chosen Sunday as one of the top 15 finalists to vie for the Miss Universe crown. She joined contestants from the following countries: USA Puerto Rico, Iceland, Albania, Czech Republic, Belgium, Dominican Republic, Sweden, Kosovo, Australia, France, Switzerland, Croatia and Venezuela.

A winner was crowned by the reigning Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza, also of Venezuela.
