Thread: Which is the best Restaurant in Namibia or place to eat

I enjoy eating at Abyssinia in Feld street occasionally. They have some interesting traditional Ethiopian dishes, if you are oopen for new tastes. To enjoy the hustle and bustle in the City Centre look no further than the Schneider Cafe for straightforward dishes.

Namibia is rich with wonderfull places to eat, seems every town no matter how small has a resteraunt where the owners take pride in their business.

Best meal i ever had in Windhoek was at African Roots Resteraunt. The game meat was amazing.
Second place for me would go to the Zoo Park resteraunt for game meat.

Best meal in Namibia goes to the Epako Game Lodge, the game meat melts in your mouth.

I love cheeseburgers
Having sampled all the burger joints in town i must say Spurs makes the best burger, Steers is pretty good, Mikes resteraunt had great burgers but they shut down.

No MacDonalds

Pizza: Debonairs Pizza is the closest thing to what i would call a typical American pizza except Namibia seems to only like very thin crusts.
Their 4 seasons pizza is deliscious, Sardinia's make a decent pizza but $$$

I haven't had a chance to sample many Macs, so no comment there. I wonder when they will arrive on Namibian shores. The license fee is probabyl pretty steep....As for fast-food and burgers I think the Spurs version is pretty decent.

I haven't heard of the Abyssinia, next time Im in Windhoek I will try it out. I agree African Roots has nice food. Namibia is really rich with flavours and great food.
