    Post Melon and Mealie-meal Porridge

This dish is as simple as it is delicious. Could not be more straightforward:

    Ingredients

    • 1 wild melon
    • 1/2 cup of sugar
    • 1kg mealie-meal

    Method

    1. Peel the melon and cut it into small cubes
    2. Boil the melon in water until sofdt
    3. Add the sugar to the melon
    4. Add small quantities of mealie-meal while stirring until it thickens to a stiff porridge
    5. Leace simmering for about 15 minutes
    6. Dish onto plates and leave to cool down before eating

    Is that all ingredients?

Are you sure it's ½ a cup of sugar? Why the so much sugar? For how many peeps is this meal? Is this a stater, or side dish or main course and with what other dishes you serve this? Where in Europe or UK can one buy this type of melon?

Do you need milk, quark or soya milk?

    Thanks now.
