Phil ya Nangoloh of The National Society for Human Rights
so what do you think?
Freind of the people or Pro-RDP
myself i commend him on his stances on Zimbabwe , China and other worthy causes.
also, i admire his bravery amidst all this mud slinging and threats directed at him.
i do feel he is objectevily and honestly reporting the goings on in this country during these sensitive times pre-election but do sense an Anti-Swapo sentiment in his words.
the website of the NSHR National Society for Human Rights :: Tolerance - Liberty - Happiness has many interesting and sometimes scary articles from Swapo and Anti-Swapo members.
things are heating up and i hope civil minds win
History may repeat itself ,i am glad we have Philly ya Nangoloh and others simply for
giving a voice to another opinion.
that's democracy , to hate a man simply because he chooses to expose what he thinks are flaws in others is not democracy.
it's called living in a free country and it's also his JOB
vote wisely
P.S. educate me please
is Philly ya Nangoloh a digruntled ex government employee ??
what are his motives ??
is he really a freind of the people??
how far will Swapo go to shut this man up??

Re: Philly ya Nangoloh of The National Society for Human Rights
Absolutely spot-on, Omer - you may not agree with him on some stances, or at times examine the NSHR claim's (as any other organisation's) but the work Nangoloh and the NSHR do is absolutely vital and essential for the development of our democracy and Constitutional order. He is a brave and outspoken man, and independent on top of it. I think that's why is perceived as such a threat by some more dogmatic and reactionary elements in SWAPO, and they do exist. It's difficult to paint him as a lackey or poodle of the West, as is very often done with critical voices in the region's polities.
We can all be assured of one thing: The more virulent, the denunciations of Nangoloh and the NSHR the closer they are to speaking the truth.
