    Default Namibia's next potential president

The newest debate about the Nam presidency has sparked some interest from the society at large judging by the SMS responses swelling in the Namibian newsaper. Sadly I missed the much talked about interview with Kazenambo Kazenambo, fondly referred to now as KK.

At the centre of the discussion is a call against tribal tendencyies in the Namibian society. Herewith dear Shebeeners, worth diliberating could be what is really what KK wants? a non oshiwambo president or a herero president per say (which to my understanding borders on the same crime he is busy crying foul about), or is it indeed for inclusion of minorities irrespective of their tribal origin? or is indeed the SWAPO think-tank as alleged by one of the sms authors responsible for 'modernised' propaganda, to bring SWAPO back to centre stage of positive public discussion?

    Let's talk, theorize, deliberate!!!

For those of us who know little if anything about the man, from the Guide to Namibian Politics:

Kazenambo Kazenambo was brought up in Botswana and joined Swapo in Francistown in 1979. Five years later he travelled to Angola where he underwent military training with Swapo. He was a combatant in the People’s Liberation Army of Namibia (Plan) from 1986 to 1989.

He started his working career as a journalist with the Namibia Press Agency (Nampa) and the Voice of Namibia radio station in exile. After independence he worked for the Swapo mouthpiece Namibia Today. He joined the public service in 1992 and became a special advisor to Prime Minister Hage Geingob in 1996. He served on the Swapo Youth League’s central and executive committees from 1991 to 2002.

Kazenambo moved to Namibia Wildlife resorts in 1999, where he was General Manager for Corporate Affairs and Public Relations until he joined the National Assembly (NA) in 2005. President Hifikepunye Pohamba appointed him as Deputy Minister of Local and Regional Government, Housing and Rural Development in March 2005.

    Personal:
Born on July 6 1963 in Maun, Botswana.

    Education:
    • Masters in Public Policy and Administration, Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, The Netherlands (1999-2000).
    • Diploma in Business Administration, Oxford Brooks College, Oxford, UK (1996-97).
    • Certificate in Business Studies, West London College, London, UK (1995).
    Career:
    • Deputy Minister of Local and Regional Government, Housing and Rural Development since 2005. Member of the National Assembly since 2005.
    • General Manager for Corporat Affairs and Public Relations, Namibia Wildlife Resorts (2000-2005). Understudy to Managing Director of NWR (1999).
    • Special Advisor to the Prime Minister (1996-97).
    • Control Officer, Prime Minister’s Office (1992-96).
    • Reporter for Namibia Today (1990-92). Reporter for Voice of Namibia and Nampa (1989-90).
    • Combatant, People’s Liberation Army of Namibia (Plan) (1986-89).
It would be itneresting to get the interview here as well to provide more background info. Does anyone have a transcript?

Well well, not so many comments in here, I guess the think tank needed the focus off the ECN... interesting stuff...

Else between Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah and Pendukeni Ithana, who would Namibia prefer as the first female albeit oshiwambo (which we know it is going to be) president? or perhaps should it be Sarah Kuugengelwa (sorry if I misspelled any up in here).
