Fresh FM 102.9 seem to be doing something right as well as Base FM, I believe 106.2 is not too bad either...what you sayeth people?

I would say mine is the otjiherero radio, which is not listed because their schedule is pretty good and they cover almost everything, the youth, culture, history, current affairs you name it.
Hi Magcutey - I've added the NBC Otjiherero service to the poll, so feel free to cast your vote!
Admin,
Now you might as well add "Kosmos 94.1" ......
Kosmos's now also on the list of options, so all you Radio Kosmos listerners feel free to cast your votes, too.
Many of our commercial stations are copycats, i.e copying what others have introduced. Nothing wrong with that one may say but there is no variety on many of these stations. Without comparing our stations to any international stations, I would say ours lack some depths.
We don't have incisive debates, analysis. No hard hitting interviews on issues. And the worst nightmare is that some of them wait for the newspapers to come out and then regurgitate all the stories from page one to last. Even Entertainment and sports slots are consumed by people repeated what we may have read in the papers or on the Internet without adding value of any sort.
But I have hope though, we just need to ensure that all of our jockeys, announcers and whatever else are given proper and substantial technical issue-based training to complement their beautiful voices.
Isak,
Go and apply for a job or apply to train them - you seem to speak with such authority!
Apart from the broadcasting license, what else would you need to start a radio station....
sure, equipment, venue, jurnos, presenters, etc....what would this cost be...particularly for equipment?
can one hire a studio at the nbc?
we need a station that debates proper issues...even if GRN want to come down hard on you...openline was such a success....and that just ran for an hour....
