    Default Omythia Election Posponement

    Hi Sheebeners,

This is my first, a bit political but after good rains the spirit is normally fit to discuss any matter. I for one believes that this proves our political majority and tollorence. The formation of the new party (RDP) seems to steer some movement towards the latter.

Voilence reported is though worrying, but how can you describe that? Is it hurting to heal or breaking to reconstruct? Is there anything positive on the horizon for political reform? Or a sign of possible Kennian scenario?

    Hope to hear from.

    Regards,

    Axarotiti

Red face Re: Omythia Election Posponement

Judging by the latest developments Axarotiti76, we could well be heading for a Kenya-type situation. The fact remains that SWAPO is neither willing, nor prepared, maybe not able to let go of political power in any way, shape or form. Now there is talk of the liberation movements in southern Africa supporting each other in the face of a neo-colonial onslaught by Western nations. That's a handy excuse to keep people from expressing their political preferences in an unfettered way, is it not? The real threat to our nations is the fear that politicians have of democracy and what it really means. I really hope thre won't be increasing violence, and the elctions next year will be a watershed in so many ways for our Republic. It will show how mature a democracy we really are; how deep political tolerance and respect for the rights and views of others go....the clouds are gathering, though....

Perhaps Kenyans had shown an ugly side of their household. Remember this guys had prospered for this long on their own, at least before this. KANU ruled alone just like SWAPO is intent on doing, yet Kiswahili had relatively dampen the latent desent. I hope Oshiwambo will succeed were Kiswahili had left of.
