Am I the only one or do you also sometimes get the feeling your bank is doing you a favour for taking you on their books as a client? I can't believe the attitude that the staff in some banks display towards clients. It's as if you only deserve to be respected, listened to, treated courteously, and taken account of if you deposit a million dollar cheque? Maybe it reflects poor HR management on the part of the banks, and the result is demotivated and unprofessional staff. Maybe banks in Namibia have lost touch with reality like their counterparts in the rest of the world and have become arrogant and distant organisations.

Of course there are exceptions, and it's maybe not very helpful to generalise but I do get the impression that therre is room for improvement with regard to customer service. The rotten apples drag everyone down and that's where something needs to be done by the banks themselves. Maybe it's just a general attitude of carelessness on the part of staff. I'm sure it's not a simple explanation, and there are many factors but I give all the banks I have dealt with only an average score for customer service.
