"white female ladies"---- Yes, Gwen is white; yes, Gwen is a lady and yes, Gwen is female ....but foremost she is a journalist. Colour and gender not relevant!

    Default ... white pride world-wide

I say: stop your white-pride-world-wide-behaviour in Africa, this really sucks or face the music, I suggest on a very friendly note.

    Default Gwen for Politics?

Wow, just saw an sms in no other than the best Namibian paper, The Namibian, appealing to Gwen to start her own political movement, and he(author of the SMS), would vote for her.

All in all I think it quite an intersting request worth gathering opinions on ;-)

What do Shebeeners say to this, would any Namibian have voted for her should she have launched timeously such initiative? and why would Namibians have voted for her?

Let's tell it like it is!!!!

LOL, true Mie1, but perhaps a new movement with enough pull is the answer to merge the smaller parties in the form of a substantial volume of votes that may traditionally have gone to them being casted behind a possible GWEN-party?

I think the Namibian voters are in dire need of some such, which some thought would have been RDP, but some few months down the line lost its momentum..... I think a possible Gwen-party would keep the momentum not even constant, but growing?

    What do you think?

I think Gwen should do what she does best: Remain an independent, fearless newspaper editor. We have too many chiefs and chefs as it is, but not many newspaper editors to keep an eye on the lot and what they are up to - or not.

    juikk,

In principle you have a good idea, that is, to merge the smaller parties into what you implicitly call "an effective opposition". But you forget the nature of our people. The leaders of the smaller parties all have one thing in common: a gigantic ego. As Comrade_007 says, we already have too many chiefs and , decidedly, too few Indians. Smaller slices do not make the cake any bigger ...one just has more crumbs for the dustbin (maybe: of history)..

Added to this is the fact that it is much too late to start an awareness campaign now... the other parties will chew them up and spit the out. They want their moment of fleeting glory and then, again, descend into glorious oblivion until 2014.

Anybody who declares that his or her party will unseat the ruling party this coming November is highly delusional and needs an urgent and serious reality-check!

Really don't know what a discussion about a newspaper and its editor has to do with white pride. Are you sure, Mindfactory, that you commented in the right forum ... or on the right topic?

Yes in principle that is exactly what I meant. The other chiefs however would not matter, if the same votes that made them little chiefs, do no longer gets casted behind them not?

And yes, it is of course too late for the coming elections. And yes, on the other response, she does indeed do a good if not fabulous job with the Media, this is then why, being so popular among what I am sure the majority a voter sees her as, she is most probably positioned to garner enough votes to be able to be an oposition of sound calibre...

This is then the point: It will take a POPULAR contestant to be able to establish proper opposition, hence if all crumbs gravitate toward such a party, it becomes a slice of the cake to be reckoned with!!
