It's called political mind 'Flippin' of a Mass Pangkas...dudes sitting on pioniersparks roads , begging to clean someone(non-swapo member's) yard, yet will hurl a big stone at an RDP supporter....nothing short of mass manipulation SWAPO is entirely guilty of....nothing short of everything SWAPO stands for, legalised ill gains, at the expense of the Namibian people, minority and majority alike.

I often thought how to tackle the issue of politics, and especially my affiliation or specific party support. After all, “your vote is you secret”.

I have been a supporter of the SWAPO Party since 1998. At the time it was still before Independence and I was involved in resurrecting the party in Khomasdal with people such as Danny Tjongerero, Dr. Kupido, Bobby Sissing amongst others. Since then I have supported the party through my vote but have not taken an active role.

I do not wish to make statements on party politics but rather would tell you a story about a friend of mine. We often meet during weekends and discuss various issues of the day and if possible also have a sing-along. Recently, we were asked our opinions of the various new parties and the reaction by SWAPO. He answered, “What is SWAPO? I am SWAPO. Nothing outside of me is SWAPO. What I do is what SWAPO does.”

    Galaxy,

That comment totally uncalled for. Kindly retract such a serious accusation

We did not join SWAPO because we want to become rich. We joined because we believe in the party!!!

Eeveryone stands to gain something....I for one would gain peace of mind when no given political party, including SWAPO , has the majority might to drag an otherwise beautiful country in the mud, so yes Mie1, everyone stands to gain,
Milton seems proud to wear the oppresive and psychological master manupulator party colours, nothing wrong with recognizing that...

nothing wrong to stand for what one believes, I believe SWAPO is shamelessly exploiting and taking advantage of an uneducated mass and RDP is an opportunistic alternative which may, believe it or not benefit the country at large provided they make enough dent in SWAPO's majority hold... what is your take on this Mie1?

    Pangkas,

The next few definitions describe you and your diatribe pretty well - don't you think?:

    1. A seemingly fierce person or thing without the ability to back up their words

    2. The nature of a person or organization that appears powerful but is actually powerless and ineffectual;

    3. Paper tiger is a literal English translation of the Chinese phrase zhi laohu , meaning something that seems as threatening as a tiger, but is really harmless.

    4. One that is seemingly dangerous and powerful but is in fact timid and weak:

    5. A blustering, harmless fellow the Chinese call 'a paper tiger'.

    Dear Juikk,

Yes, a good opposition IS worth its salt, but, I fear, that, even with all our opposition parties together, this will never be achieved because there are too many who want to be Chiefs and leave us poor Indians struggling along.

    Happy?

Either we like it or not there is no way SWAPO can be compared to any Political Party in Namibia Full stop. SWAPO had fought heroically for this country and had been recognized by international Community as authentic representative of the Namibian People and as a result it fought battle and liberated this country trough battle field, either you believe by the UN supervised Election it was because of hard struggle, to those who never contributed in one way or another nor had lost life in the bitter struggle always feel sidelined, however, it is time to move forward and of course there will be no way you talk Namibia as country without mentioning Nujoma and SWAPO, it is a die Hard.

Please remember other parties mentioned here had been collaborated with then South Africa occupation Regime, what do you expect of them then? Namibian themselves special the majority knows their destine and they know they have to defend what they gain, through hard and in peace, I can bet you people of Namibia are mature enough and they know what they want, and they trust SWAPO, is only those who sabotaged the programmes of the government, I mean people who are in position and are anti SWAPO and they want SWAPO to be seen in the eyes of many, but however history have proven them wrong, and make no mistake to compare SWAPO and Namibia with other African, we fought different battle more the any in the history of the world and I think as Namibian we are proud of that, and what we want is economic emancipation, to the youth there is a say that "Nekwa lyatoka oye nga nyoko" literally translated even if your mother is illiterate or poor is your mother.

As long as there is Democracy in Namibia, the people of this country will prove those who are wrong, with their wrongness, never believe in those who are in position of critizing only always, Now ask youself a question what have you done to your country yourself, what contribution, don't tell me this tax pay always useless, remeber to do something for your country and not your country to do for you.
