    Default Veterans helping Veterans

We have been there - You have been there. It is time to help each other.

All interested former CO's, NCO's and members of the SWATF and Koevoet are requested to help with the establishment of a non-political association for Veterans in Namibia.

Stepping out together to defend the Namibian Constitution, the rights of the SWATF and Koevoet Veterans. Veteran status and eligibility for most VA member benefits is based upon discharge and resignation from active military service under honorable conditions.

There are a lot of ways you can help the Veterans Association get the word out.
It is about time, we provide services and benefits to our Veterans. Veterans should be able to share in the resources of our country, like it is the case in most countries accross the world.

Those members interested in the establishment of a Veterans Association by members of the ex SWATF and ex Koevoet Forces, are hereby requested to contact us by e-mail, with Service number, Rank, Name, contact details ( address and telephone or mobile device number) where possible. This data will not be given away to anybody outside the Veterans Association, for financial, political, or any other purposes, other then the use of improving the conditions of the Veterans Association in Namibia.

Never again in the history of Namibia, will one generation of veterans abandon another.

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood. We have the support of many International Human Right Groups, Civil Liberty Groups, and other non-profit Veterans Associations in many countries worldwide.

    Saluting Namibia's Veterans.

Josef Stalin could be charming; especially when he got his way.

Adolf Hitler actually attended celebrations with the ordinary people and patted the heads of children.

Idi Amin was a master of masks - some humerous; most murderous.

A war leopard does not change its spots just because you take it out of the conflict.

Sometimes they do change, especially if they were not in command or the war was not their brain child, they may shift some spots on their hide in an effort to rearrange perspective. I'd say give the brothers a chance, here we live under /guidance of the Lubango 'Stars' and dish out respect in accordance with 'honorables......Well I had the same take on those who perpertrated the apartheid crimes, remember it was every second Koos and Venter, child or adult, male or female, and crimes were comitted which would be classified Homicide in an independent Namibia....jux saying ;-)

Nice idea provided it is done in a peacefully maner and not to be associated to today's story of death threat.

I think the war veteran bill is fare, becuase it won't be fare for ex-SWATF to receive the same allowance with other as they were paid a monthly salaries during their time and the were againist the independence of this country. They should say thank that this happen during the new testament, where there is a reconcilation left by Jesus otherwise Satan still the enemy of God and I wonder if he will one day sing as an angle again.

Now, I don't know if this is applicable, but my father always said: If you see a snake, you first terminally incapacitate it. Then, once you had checked whether or not it was poisonous, you appologised profusely if it had not been.

    Dear Sir/Madam

In view of the fact that memebers of the organisation mentioned hereabove (albeit the veterans) has actually dared to issue death threats to one of our comrade ministers, I strenuously object to their being part of this forum.

The very name they carry is an abomination to many of our peace-loving Namibians. Just the name itself will send shivers of fear and loathing down the spines of the people who had to suffer under these brutal, servile followers and executioners of the apartheid regime.

    Mie1,

These "veterans" are actually the people who did the work before independence!

and then again, we were reading in various media last yr that some politicians may have extended a few death threats to others....in an independent Namibia....jux saying
