Re: Are Namibians "Job hoppers"?
No, juikk, nothing wrong! You do not need to guard against anything!
It is just that I have heard very many similar complaints from the southern regions, yet nobody (not even me!) can come up with proven, reliable statistics either to prove the point or the opposite.
I know it is inaccurate, but I see "southern" names pretty regularly in promotion and other circles .........

Re: Are Namibians "Job hoppers"?
just go to UNAM and Polytech to see who gets to be educated nowadays, they are university of owambo and polytech of herero respectively......pretty easy, even if no one bothers taking down stats, plus I doubt there will be stats on black and white anytime soon, because i trust studies and surveys of any kind require resources, hence those in whose interest such studies will be are the marginalized, and who in their sane mind will comission any studies that highlight discripancies that point to own unfair conduct if they are in power, just saying...

Re: Are Namibians "Job hoppers"?
You may be right. I don't visit the campus of either UNAM or Polytech as often as I perhaps should.
I have no immediate, sure-fire solution, though .........

Re: Are Namibians "Job hoppers"?
yes Namibians are job hoppers .. no doubt about it and why not.
i know quite a few educated Namibians who can get jobs anywhere in Namibia in their specific feild ... the jobs for them are there .. if you can't match or better an offer given to them by someone else they will jump ship .
my freind have jumped ship i think 4 times each this year alone with no fear and got better wages each step.
education in an ever growing feild with hardly any students actually being able to graduate this year really helps
for myself i stay where i'm happy and have developed a nice confort zone
better the devil you know then the devil you don't
