NAMIBIA REVERTS TO WINTER TIME ON SUNDAY, 4 APRIL 2010

At 02h00 on Sunday, 4 April 2010, Namibians have to turn their clocks and watches back one hour when the country reverts to winter time, which is one hour in advance of Greenwich mean time.

This practice is in accordance with the Namibian Time Act, 1994, Act No. 3 of 1994, which regulates winter and summer time in Namibia.

The Act stipulates that Namibia enters winter time at 02h00 on the first Sunday, in April. Winter time is applicable until 02h00 on the first Sunday in September this year when the country will again switch over to Summer time.
