Re: Do whites have role to play? I would have thought this would not be an issue in a progrssive society like Namibia, which says of itself as being democratic and where rule of law prevails. Maybe not?

Re: Do whites have role to play? This is a no-brainer as they say: Namibia needs people with skills and knowledge to develop. If a person with skills and knowledge happens to be white and is law-abiding, then he/she has a major role to play in our nation's development. Anyone believing the contrary needs a reality check.

Re: Do whites have role to play? Every Nambiian has a role to play. White, black....man, woman. I do think, though, that whites are generally-speaking a bit insular and indifferent to what is going on in wider society. Now that may be because they are not being engaged, or when they do engage they are labelled as unpatriotic and foreign - I'm not sure. It is an undeniable fact, though, that what Namibia needs is skills and experience, commitment and engagement from everyone if it wisjes to develop.

Re: Do whites have role to play? Well Pietro, I have bought 8 computers and delivered then to a secondary school in Rundu, planted 75 baobab seedlings in Namibia and just shipped 38 Dell computers to the Ministry of Education to be sent to schools in rural districts.
I'm white. Do you really want me to take everything and go? Not all of us whites are terrible people you know.
