What happens to the ballot boxes when they are full? Several polling stations have ballot boxes that are almost overflowing. Mixed reports about whether ECN will supply new ones.

Some reports of invisible ink and indelible ink running out and the ECN being slow to deliver supplies. Also received a report of a UV light (for checking ink marks) not working because the batteries were finished.

Are party agents clear about the limits to their roles? We have received some reports of party agents interfering, intimidating other party agents, and even guiding voters through the voting process as if they were ECN staff.

Complaints from voters yesterday were mainly about the slowness of the polling procedure.

In Katutura it is very noticeable that many polling stations are operating with party campaign material, such as flags and posters, within 50 metres (there should be a 500 metre exclusion zone).

Apart from the two presiding officers in the north, who were arrested for interfering with ballot boxes prior to the start of voting on Friday, have not heard of any major complaints or problems. No reports as yet of security problems at any of the polling stations overnight.

ECN staff look very tired after sleeping at the polling stations last night. Unfortunately for them it's going to another long day.
