IPPR Election Result Predictions
WINDHOEK The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) conducted an in-house exercise to canvass predictions from its research associates on the number of seats contesting political parties are likely to garner in the November elections.
The IPPR did point out that these predictions are non-scientific, and solely based on the opinions of researchers that have worked on issues relating to politics, democracy and governance in Namibia. This exercise will be repeated in October and November to see if the level of campaigning and other political issues affect the predictions. Below are the predictions:
Swapo Party 54 seats (75 percent)
Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) 6 seats (8 percent)
Democratic Turnhalle Alliance (DTA) 4 seats (6 percent)
National Unity Democratic Organisation (Nudo) 3 seats (4 percent)
Congress of Democrats (CoD) 2 seats (3 percent)
United Democratic Front (UDF) 2 seats (3 percent)
All Peoples Party (APP) 1 seat (1 percent)

Re: IPPR Election Result Predictions
Sad if this is anything to go by, SWAPO still too powerful, hence will never apply any accountibility to their act indeed.....talk about democracy jailed on paper only...

Re: IPPR Election Result Predictions
Admin, Uncle Paul,
I usually am very disenchanted with polls, but, in this case, I think we can have a ball.
Obviously (lol!) I do not agree with you! SWAPO 56; RDP 7; DTA 2; Nudo 2; CoD 1; UDF 2; APP 1; SWANU 1
