Default Tong banned for next 2 AFCON competition

It is being reported in differrent media that CAF have decided to ban Tong not to take part in the next 2 AFCON competition as a purnishment of their National soccer team wich withdraw itself from the just ended AFCON in Angola, after the attack on the Tongolese bus that left two papole died.

Do you think the ruling is fair?

I don't think it is fair at all. After all the Tongolese team lost 2 team members in the attack. I hope they appeal the ban and win in a court of law. According to reports the team retruned to Tongo to mourn their dead team mates and honour them. Surely that should be allowed on compassionate grounds. The players are being punished for the decision of their Government to pull thhe team out, and that can't be right.

Im with you Comrade 007, it's not fair at all. I mean what if it was one of the players who was killed? What then? it's quite tragic. They must apeal.

Totally unfair! The team from TOGO is/was not responsible for their recall home - that was done, for the sake of safety, by their government!

    Of course they must appeal

Why unfair? So CAF does not ban Togo and then people say look government interference in sport and now what? CAF had to act to protect the sport, pity about the team of course.
