Thumbs up Generation Kill (TV series)

This is by far the best represenation about the American invasion of Iraq in 2003. The characters are memorable, the pace is unrelenting and the overall message is balanced and incisive: America's military is neither evil, nor saintly but it is what it is, warts and all. The plot of the series of 7 parts is about a Rolling Stone reporter, embedded with The 1st Recon Marines who chronicles his experiences during the first wave of the American-led assault on Baghdad in 2003. It is brilliantly made, there's no crap and it makes you feel asi f you are right there. Generation Kill shows the good, the bad and the ugly side of America's military machine. In parts very, very funny and shocking, this is a must-see movie that WILL change your perception of America's military and Americans generally. GO WATCH IT IF YOU CAN!
