Windhoek. — Namibian musicians continue to attract attention from the international audiences, mainly in Europe and the United States.
Two of Namibia’s top artists in their respective music categories, Tunakie and D-Naff recently left for the US where they are scheduled to do a series of performances in Washington, Dallas, Texas and Chicago.
According to Tunakie, the main event is their invitation to perform in Chicago at the Annual Namibian Convention (ANC) on the 23-27 May. The ANC is an annual get together by the Namibian community in the US.
This weekend they were scheduled to perform at the residence of the Namibian Ambassador in the US.
D-Naff told Southern Times through e-mail from Washington that the tour to the USA had put him into contact with some of the finest in music producers.
"I spent some time in New York City doing some business and even did a recording with a lady named Toucy TI," he said.
While in Washington D-Naff said he is expecting to record a song with a group known as G-Boys.
After their performance in Chicago, they will be heading for London, where they will be joined by Jericho, another Namibian top hip-hop artist.
