    Default SWAPO Party lies exposed

    PRESS RELEASE

On Saturday October 17 2009 anonymous Nujoma propagandists including Asser “Kakende ka Nangula” Ntinda published yet another heap of blue lies about NSHR. These lies were posted on their website and are entitled “Campaign Propaganda of RDP”. Inter alia these accusations were made against us and we quote:

"...of Hidipo Hamutenya. Let us not forget that Phil yaNangoloh’s hero is the murderous UNITA bandit Jonas Savimbi”.

Reality 8: Under the SWAPO Party Government, there is an independent Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) which relentlessly fights against the evil of corruption and corrupt practices. Hidipo Hamutenya should explain what happened to the N$100 million of ODC money which disappeared under his watch as Minister in the SWAPO Party Government. Not to mention PIDICO and AMCOM. Remember also that it was Hidipo Hamutenya who used to call individuals pretending that they have been awarded tenders by Cabinet because of the influence of Hidipo Hamutenya. What is this, if not corruption? It is obvious that RDP and NSHR stand for corruption!”

”Reality 9: All flowers are blooming under the SWAPO Party Government. NSHR is an affiliate of RDP and for them until them somehow takeover government there is no respect for human rights in Namibia. VOTE SWAPO Party 100%!”

The above lies constitute the provocative work and dirty tricks by a cabal of extremists and die-hard reactionaries as well as Nujoma’s puppets on the string who now control the party of Herman ya Toivo and Kaxumba ka Ndola—now called the Swapo Party. Such blue lies are a clear testimony that the tail cutters and tail eaters are very much preoccupied with, and are extremely scared of, NSHR, with the result that they continue to engage in a desperate campaign. They see NSHR behind every bush! The kleptocratic Swapo Party cabal desperately wants Namibian voters to ONLY vote for them 100 percent so that they may continue to loot the State Revenue Fund as they have been doing with impunity during the last 20 years. First between 1990 and 1994 they told you that they could not fulfill their promises to the Namibia people of free education for everyone in Namibia, freed hospitals and free housing and so on because they needed a two-thirds majority vote. However, even after the people of Namibia gave them a two-thirds majority vote in 1994, there was no free education, free hospitals, free housing and poverty has continued to increase.

Now, they have found another cheap propaganda tricks saying that they could not deliver their promises with a two-thirds majority. Now they need a 100 percent vote from you, so that they could deliver their free education, free housing and free hospital promises! They also say that you must vote for them because they brought to you “kambashus”. Supposedly before Independence there were no “kambashus” (i.e. tin houses) in the country. Now there are “kambashus” over the country and to them this is progress!

But little do they seem to know that the people of Namibia are not so stupid such that they do not know and they are so blind such that they do not see the kleptocratic corruption taking place in this country since Namibian independence. The mene mene tekel ufarsin writing is on the wall for this looting clique of Nujoma praise singers. NSHR has opened the eyes and is opening the eyes of the people of Namibia who are now sick and tired of these same old lies by Nujoma worshippers. As slain popular Jamaican reggae artist Peter Tosh once said:

“You can only fool some people some time but you cannot fool all the people all the time”.

Hence, the people of Namibia are now saying to these Swapo Party tail cutters and tail eaters: “Enough is enough. We need CHANGE”.

NSHR has been provoked through the aforementioned blatant falsehood by the Nujoma idolizers. We must now strike back in self defense. Hereunder follows our surgical and swift retaliatory strike against these desperate and panic-stricken lies and propaganda from Nujoma’s angels. Yes, we have the capacity and we must strike back even if this means we must stoop so low. As our heroic executive director Phil ya Nangoloh once wrote: “Under normal circumstances, I do not stoop that low to respond to even the buffoonery and childish writings or public statements from the quislings of certain corrupt elements in this country. However, this time around please allow me to stoop so low to where they are as this is the only way I can get to them.”

This is why we, NSHR human rights defenders, decided to stoop so low to where the Nujoma idolizers are, in order to smoke them out. Our central message to them is: Those who tell lies about us must know that we have the capacity to swiftly tell the truth about them. Consider the following truths:

Truth 1: The lying Nujoma clique wants the people of Namibia to vote for them 100 percent so that they continue to steal taxpayer’s money and loot the State Revenue Fund. They claim this is their money, which they brought in from Lubango! This is not so. They did not bring in a single cent when they took over power on March 21 1990. They found all this money in the State Revenue Fund but they want to leave this Fund empty by the time Namibian voters decide to kick them out by voting for CHANGE. And CHANGE will come sooner rather than later.

Truth 2: When they took over the government in 1990 there was not so much poverty in this country like now. However, since they took over, poverty and gross income disparities have been on the dramatic increase. Now, at least 35 percent or 700 000 of all Namibians, out of a population of 2 million, are considered as “extremely poor”. An additional 56 percent or 1 120 000 of all Namibians are classified as “poor”. This means that a total of 1 820 000 Namibians out of a population of 2 000 000 are classified as either extremely poor or poor. This is 19 years after Namibian independence. This is all Nujoma’s fault!

    Truth 3:
Maternal mortality rate has increased from around 270 for each 1 000 live births at independence to the close 450 for each 1 000 live births today. The escalating maternal and infant mortality rates are a clear indication that all is not well under Nujoma’s clique.

Truth 4: To you, the people of Kavango Region, be careful! The National Planning Commission says that your Region is today the poorest of all the 13 administrative regions in the country. This means that your Region has been socio-economically cheated and marginalized. This clique has murdered many Kavango residents and their legs have been blown off by night time anti-personnel mines planted under Nujoma’s supervision between 1999 and 2002. Over 2 000 indigenous businesses of the Kavango people had been destroyed without compensation. Their cattle had been stolen and their other property pillaged. This is also all Nujoma’s fault!

Now the Nujoma worshippers want you, the people of Kavango, to vote 100 percent for Swapo Party? Does this not mean to vote 100 percent for the continued systematic marginalization of Kavango residents?

Now the people of Kavango are being falsely accused by the Nujoma worshippers of vandalizing the Rundu-Nkurenkuru road. What a blue lie! Several years ago the four Kavango traditional chiefs wrote a letter to Nujoma demanding Kavango’s fair share of the country’s resources for having been voting for Swapo Party. Once upon a time several years ago the supreme leader of this cabal of Swapo Party propagandists insulted the Kavango people, saying they are poor because they are “only drinking tombo and having sex” and are unwilling to work! Remember? Now they want you the people of Kavango to vote for them 100 percent? Tell them to forget it and vote for CHANGE.

Truth 5: As for the people of the Caprivi Region, residents also continue to be marginalized systematically by the Swapo Party. The Caprivi Region is also one of the poorest regions in Namibia. This is despite Caprivi’s highly educated population with an over 75 percent literacy rate. On top of that, hundreds of mostly innocent Caprivians, especially those who are members of the Mafwe tribe continue to languish in Swapo Party prisons without trial for almost ten years. Over 2 500 other Caprivians who are also members of the Mafwe tribe had been forced to flee their own country for their lives because of indiscriminate atrocities committed against them on Nujoma’s orders after the August 2 1999 attack. Furthermore, in order to divide-and-rule the powerful Mafwe people, this tribe had now been broken up into three smaller tribes by Nujoma. Now this Nujoma cabal has apparently already forgotten about all these crimes and is now shamelessly calling upon even all Caprivians to vote 100 percent for them. Forget it! The people want CHANGE!

    Truth 5:
Let us go South, to the great Karas and Hardap Regions where the lands of the brave Nama Chiefs like Abraham Morris, Jakob Marengo and Hendrik Witbooi are situated. These regions are also systematically marginalized and neglected by the Swapo Party regime under Nujoma. On April 19 2007 Nama traditional leaders visited President Pohamba at State House to demand development to come their way. Earlier on, on July 25 2006 a group of 50 Nama-speaking residents staged a peaceful demonstration at Keetmanshoop against unemployment and poverty in the Karas Region.

Up to now nothing has changed for the better. Today, because of poverty resulting from such marginalization by the Swapo Party regime, the Karas Region has the highest TB infection rate in the entire world! And instead of developing these impoverished regions, the Nujoma worshippers are now insulting and humiliating them and calling them “drunkards and lazy”. However, the Swapo Party propagandists are now shamelessly calling upon the residents to vote for Swapo Party 100 percent. Forget it, my dear! Tell them that enough is enough, we need CHANGE.

Truth 6: What about you the heroic people Ohangwena Region? You have nothing for which to celebrate either. Your Region is now the second poorest in the country. You have recently been told by the Omusati clique through an inflammatory “letter to the editor” published in New Era on July 7 2006 that you are after all not Namibians, you are Angolans. In other words, after you had borne the brunt of the liberation struggle for Namibian independence, you are now being called foreigners in your own motherland. But now Pendukeni and Nujoma go to Ohangwena to tell you to vote 100 percent for the tail cutters and tail eaters. Forget it! Tell them in unison that you need CHANGE!

    Truth 7:
To you white Namibians. On Saturday, September 19 2009, the idol of the Omusati clique spoke at Ongwediva. He incited black Namibians to clobber to death any whites with hammers. On October 3 2009 and speaking at Omungwelume, Pendukeni Iivula-Ithana also said that white people are poisonous snakes just like the dangerous black mamba. Soon thereafter this violent Aunt Jemima of Namibia and prima donna of the Omusati clique abused taxpayer’s money and ran to Mugabe who had killed so many innocent white farmers in Zimbabwe. Do the Nujoma worshippers want to do the same here if they lost the November election? We wonder if the Police and NDF would not allow them to do so. Nevertheless, they want all white Namibians to vote 100 percent for the Swapo Party. They are now using a certain Piet van der Walt to tell you that Pendukeni and Nujoma are friends of whites. They even published a big banner on their website and in their Namibia Yesterday, propaganda sheet. They want to brainwash you to say that Nujoma and Mugabe love you. Forget it. Show them the way and tell them ‘enough is enough’ and vote for CHANGE!

Truth 8: To you the thousands of born-free Namibians who are roaming the streets without further schooling or work. Your predicament is the fault of the Swapo Party, which is spending hundreds of millions of Namibia dollars on worshipping their idol Nujoma. He has received millions in terms of his “retirement package”. As if this was not enough, now they are building an N$42 million new office for him, while you the born frees got nothing. Over N$65 million had so far been spent on Nujoma’s propaganda film, called Where Others Wavered. By contrast, the so-called ‘children of the liberation struggle, now numbering over 8 000, only received N$2 million from the Swapo Party regime. Now they say that you, the born frees, must vote 100 percent for them. For what? Do they really think that the born frees are so stupid? Forget, my dear. We need CHANGE and tell them you that need to rearrange this evil system prevailing in the country!

    Truth 9:
To you, brothers and sisters of the country’s 250 000 orphans and vulnerable children, who are without education, to say the least! The Chinese scholarships intended for orphans and vulnerable children have recently been stolen and have gone to the children of the Pendukenis, Nujomas, Nghimtinas and the list goes on and on. Just read about it all in Informante of last Thursday, October 15 2009! Is this not the same old corruption by the Omusati clique? If it is not corruption then give us the name! Now they want you, the born frees, to vote for them 100 percent? They must forget it! Let their children and grandchildren, who have received Chinese scholarships, vote for them 100 percent!

    Truth 10:
About the alleged corrupt elements. Now the Swapo Party wants you to vote even for Paulus Kapia of the N$30 million Avid scandal! What about those who stole the N$3.1 million at NDF? What about the N$960 million of GIPF? What about N$100 million of ODC? Where is the money going? Now they want us to vote for them 100 percent? They must be insane. VOTE FOR CHANGE!
