Mie1, u r one strange media persona, let the "sour losers" try and test the results in any court of law, if there was no rigging, SWAPO should whole heartedly allow them, while laughing in the knowing they have the upper hand, not so?

I would not play it down as a waste of resources. Namibia has had competent and proven capable and fairly fair judiciary system. This means if the opposition claims were really that laughable, they would not even have entertained to hear their case, let alone passing a ruling for materials to be availed. That alone should tell ALL Namibians, including SWAPO that the ECN is really some shameful performing body. Perhaps their incompetence costed SWAPO some more votes? ever thought of that? I still believe we should elect an entirely new election body, with the type of excellent performance the likes of Matthew //Gowaseb for instance dsiplayed, and entirely revote. there were really really questionable matters around the latest elections.......just saying.

I have no doubt that they where fair. The reason is that if you drive in Katatura, you will see that the people are huge supporters of Swapo. Just look at the party colours everywhere. Maybe I am biased because I am a supporter. The margin is quite possible.

The other problem that I have is that the opposition parties are attacking a vote where the party got lower than the president. If they really felt that it was rigged would they not have started at the top?

So it is quit possible that even the ballots that are spoilt may have leant in the majority to Swapo party.

In anycase that might have been the strategy all along. Set the electiion up as a massive failure and a constitutional crises in the face of overwhelming support for Swapo.
