  1. Progressive climate change strategy announced for SA

    Cape Town – South Africa is making moves to become a low-carbon economy, says Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism Marthinus van Schalkwyk.

    Japan – The world must reach a new agreement on measures to fight climate change by the end of 2009, says United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon.
