Cymot SKW beat Life Fighters 3-1 in their Cell One NFA Cup first round match in Otjiwarongo on Sunday, after a half time score of 1-all. Marco van Wyk gave them the lead on 34m, but Life Fighters equalised just before halftime. Namibian cyclists excelled at the South African Mountain Bike Cross Country Championships which took place in George over the weekend. Marc Bassingthwaighte won the Elite Men’s category, followed by veteran Mannie Heymans in second place, while Heletje van Staden won the Women’s U23 category. The participants and spectators of the annual Pointbreak Open Water Swim, which took place this Sunday, were rewarded with perfect conditions - sunny skies, clear warm water and the Oanob dam at 100% capacity.
