  1. Ladies Cricket Festival

    Cricket Namibia will host the Bank Windhoek Ladies Cricket Development Festival in Windhoek from 15 to 17 October 2010.

    At the festival the Namibia ladies team and the Under 13 boys and girls teams will play against Botswana at the Union and CCD fields in Windhoek.

    The teams will all play 35 and 20 over matches.

    During the festival Cricket Namibia development officers will present the Healthy Lifestyles games to the Under 13 teams on 15 October at CCD. ...

  2. Namibia to host Fistball World Club Cup

    Namibia will host the Fistball World Club Cup on 15 and 16 October and will be represented by SKW at the tournament.

    Four clubs will travel to Namibia for the tournament including the Brazilian ladies champions Duque de Caxias and their male team Ginastica Novo Haburgo. A ladies team from Austria, Raifeisen Dialog Telekom Arnreit, will also take part in the tournament which will include the current European men’s champions FBS ASO Linz-Urfahr.

  3. Benson wins bronze medal

    Johanna Benson won Namibia’s first medal at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, when she finished third in the final of the Women’s 100m T37 race for disabled athletes on Thursday.

    Benson clinched the bronze medal after finishing third in a time of 14,81 seconds. Katrina Hart of England won the gold medal with a time of 14,36, while Jenny McLoughlin of Wales won the silver medal in a time of 14,68 seconds.

  4. Williams, Van Schoor put Namibia in charge

    Centuries by Craig Williams and Raymond van Schoor put Namibia in a strong position at the end of the first day of their CSA Challenge match against Easterns on Thursday. Namibia reached 367 all out in their first innings while Easterns were at 55/0 at stumps.

    Namibia got off to a bad start after Ewald Steenkamp (4) and Gerhard Rudolph (0) were dismissed early, but Williams joined Van Schoor to put Namibia in charge.

  5. Tigers' dream start continues

    Tigers’ great start to the season continued when they beat defending champions African Stars 2-0 at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on Friday night.

    Stars did most of the attacking, but could not get past Tigers’ resolute defence, while second half breakaway goals by Kenny Malgas and Nelson Akwenye gave them a stunning victory.
