    A late goal by Wilfred Coetzee gave Orlando Pirates a priceless 2-1 victory against Eleven Arrows on Saturday to take them to the verge of winning the MTC Namibia Premier League title.

    The victory gave Pirates a two-point lead over Civics, who were held to a goalless draw by SKW, while Ramblers are now out of the title race after losing 1-0 to Oshakati City.

    Civics beat Ramblers 2-0 on Wednesday night to join Orlando Pirates at the top of the log on 35 points.

    Patrick Mkontwana pounced on to a loose ball to open the scoring on 63 minutes while substitute Tugela Tuyeni made it 2-0 in injury time when he shot a corner clearance into the net.

    Ramblers had numerous chances especially in the second half, but they could not penetrate Civics’ defence, for whom Jamu Ngatjizeko and Erastus Ndjavera were in excellent form.

  5. Namibia lose to USA, Mexico

    Namibia lost its third and fourth games at the Junior Inline Hockey World Championships to the USA and Mexico respectively. Namibia will now face the strong Czech team in the quarterfinals.
