  1. FNB Football Festival

    FNB Namibia on Thursday announced that it will host a Football Festival during the Christmas break featuring FNB’s four Premier League sponsored clubs. African Stars, Black Africa, Oshakati City and Tigers will compete in the first round matches on Saturday, December 27 and Sunday, December 28 while the final will be played at the Khomasdal Stadium on January 10.

  2. Namibian women off to a winning start

    Namibia’s U20 women’s soccer team got off to a winning start at the Zone Six U20 Youth Games in Potchefstroom, South Africa, when they beat Zambia 2-1 on Thursday.


    Two goals in quick succession in the first half by Emmerencia Fredericks gave Namibia a 2-0 lead, but Zambia fought back to score just before the halftime break.

    Orlando Pirates pulled off a somewhat fortunate 2-1 victory against Hotspurs at a jam-packed Khomasdal Stadium on Friday night.

    Pirates took an early lead on 15m when Riaan Cloete put John Samson clear, who unleashed a 25m grass cutter that hit the back of the net.
