The Namibian team will be coached by Ian van Schoor.
“By intensifying the coaching program of the youth players and focussing on squads of more than 30 players and not only a team of 13, the pool of very talented cricketers has increased tremendously,” Marsia Reed from Cricket Namibia said.
Reed also congratulated the players that were selected in to the different teams.
“To be selected for a national cricket team has become more challenging as the competition is real and becomes tougher each year, so congratulations to each player selected. They have achieved this through dedication and hard work,” she said.
“The exposure and experience they will gain on such a tour by participating in competitive matches will be tremendous and exciting.”
Meanwhile, Cricket Namibia will host the Standard Bank U11 and U12 Coastal Cricket Festival in Walvis Bay and Swakopmund from Friday 26 November to Sunday 28 November, where 52 players have been selected to take part.
Wanderers cricket club will also host a cricket training camp from 6 to 9 December. The camp is open to children aged between 10 and 13 who want to learn more about cricket.
