Reho Falcon went to the top of the log after thrashing Jaguars 62-8 at the Augustineum field on Saturday.

Reho Falcon dominated all aspects of play as their forwards won the tight exchanges while their backs ran Jaguars ragged.

From the kickoff Reho Falcon camped on Jaguars’ tryline and it was only a matter of time until they broke through.

Fullback Howard Titus opened the scoring with a penalty, before veteran wind Deon Mouton cut through the backline for a try on 17 minutes. That started the deluge as Falcon ran in nine tries in total for an emphatic victory. Titus converted seven of the nine tries for a personal tally of 17 points.

Reho Falcon had to make several changes to their team due to injuries and veterans Deon Mouton and Melrick Africa both started in the unfamiliar position of centre, in the absence of the first choice pairing of Luwayne Kotzee and Cliffie Loubser.

But both veterans had fine games, regularly breaking the line and linking well with the rest of the backline. Colin de Koe had a steady game at flyhalf, as did the

Up front Milando Titus had a fine game at flank while while prop Morris Kapitako and flank Kevin Fisch were also prominent.

For Jaguars, it was a performance to forget. Their defence was non-existent while the little possession they got they wasted with poor options.

Flanker Norman Skrywer was rewarded with a fine try late in the game while fullback Reggie Boois added a penalty, but that’s all they got.
