    The Commonwealth is deeply disturbed at the latest developments and continuing violence in Zimbabwe. As a former member country, Zimbabwe and its people remain very much in the Commonwealth's thoughts.

    The Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU)’s Masvingo office was this afternoon invaded by twelve people who forcibly removed ZCTU posters and pasted a campaign poster of President Robert Mugabe.

    Two of the twelve people claimed to be war veterans and the other ten said they were Zanu PF youths.
