ICT Projects Presentation to the Prime Minister by the Department of Public Service Information Technology Management

In order to have an insight of progress made as well as to provide guidance on the way forward with various public service projects which the Office of the Prime Minister is working on, the Right Honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Nahas Angula has since 21 January been meeting with various Departments, Directorates and Units of the Office.

During the meeting held with the Department of Public Service Information Technology Management, Prime Minister Angula directed that as a “central Office promoting ICT in government, the Office should consider looking at ICT as a communication tool in public outreach programme”. According to Prime Minister Angula, this would enable the government to identify public services that could be rendered by means of ICT.
Prime Minister Angula also emphasized on the issue of monitoring. He said it was important to keep track of all ICT projects that the Office is facilitating in O/M/As.
