I made kind of an Oshiwambo basic phrases course. How do you like it?

HI Juikk. Just wanted to point out that in proper English, you never put an apostrophe on a word that is only a plural. I know you speak many languages and it can be hard to remember, but whenever we make a mistake typing and don't correct it, we promote our mistakes as others read them and think it's OK.

If you have more than one video, then you have "many videos", not video's.

If you want to talk about the actors in the video, then it's "the video's actors".

And of course, when you have to make a decision between "where to I use the apostrophe for contractions or for possessives", the contractions always win the apostrophe.

This means that it's = it is.

So you would type "it is my video" as "it's my video".

If something belongs to "it", you would use "its", as can be seen here: "this cat has a video, that is its video".

English is such a pain. I don't know how the Dutch can stand using apostrophes in some plurals, and not in some others.

    Cheers.
