Changes on The Shebeen

We'll keep you informed on this thread of changes here on The Shebeen so you know why we are doing what we are doing. We're trying to constantly improve the site, which can mean quite a few changes in short spaces of time. But we do rrealise that too many changes can also be a bad thing, so will try and keep it to a minimum.

Quite a few of you mentioned that it would be nice to access all the top-level forum, classifieds and news categories from the home page, instead of first having to click on the main links in the top navigation bar.

The new navigation blocks along the left-hand side of the home page will provide for easier and quicker navigation. They also make the home page easier to read. We hope this suits your needs. As usual, please let us know what works/does not work for you.

Hello All,

you may have noticed that I renamed the community Noticeboards to Our Community and merged them with the The People's Forums. This should make it easier to keep track of important items posted to these boards, because they will appear at the top of the home page instead of the bottom. It will also make the home page load faster. Let me know if you think the changes don't achieve what they are intended to .......
