Thread: The new starting page layout/content -- less charming?

The starting page of our favourite community was changed recently.

Instead of showing chronologically all the threads with the newest post irrespective of their category, the entry page now lists all the the different categories and only one thread of each category with the latest post.

I want the previous layout back! It had much more life and action and was much more inviting. It enabled me to follow the most interesting threads with a lot of posts much easier.

Perhaps one can arrange a compromise and display the latest 5 or 10 posts of any category and then all the individual categories and their latest posts?

Does anybody agree with me?
